Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. - Centre women's soccer blanked the Transylvania University Pioneers 2-0 on the home field of TU on Wednesday night.
The Colonels moved to 3-1-1 and have won three-straight matches while the Pioneers took their second-straight loss and sit at 1-2-1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- A freshman-to-freshman connection led to the first goal of the game.
Claire Cavacini dished a ball from the far right side of the penalty area to
Grace Plummer. She then kicked the ball past the Transy keeper to put Centre up 1-0 in the 21st minute.
- Plummer also played a part in the next goal. Running along the endline in the 47th minute, she passed to
Riley Givens in the goal area who slid into an impressive shot that moved the lead to 2-0.

Grace Plummer opened her scoring account with her first collegiate goal in the contest. She also notched an assist for the second-consecutive match.

Riley Givens scored her first goal of the season on Wednesday night.
- Centre had 14 shots to Transylvania's seven and led the shots on goal tally 8-3.
- Corner kicks were led by the Colonels for the fourth time this season. They had a 7-2 advantage and had the only corners of either team in the second half.

Grace Dutcher served in goal all 90 minutes and saved three shots in the shutout.
