GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Centre men's cross country team had a slew of personal best marks as the Colonels raced at the southern Athletic Association Championships, where they finished as conference runners-up.
The Colonels finished with a combined team score of 75 points to best Berry by two points. Trinity took first place in the meet with 48 points.
Individually, senior
Reeve VanDemark continued his outstanding final campaign for Centre cross country as he cleared the 8k course in 25:38.2, good for fourth place overall and earning him All-SAA First Team honors in his best ever finish at the conference championship.
Freshman
Jackson Luskin ran the best race of his young career as he crossed the finish line in 26:02.4 to finish tenth overall. That marked his highest finish of the season and earned him All-SAA Second Team recognition.
Freshman
Houston Brooks finished just outside the individual top 15 as he clocked in at 26:11.3 to finish 17th. He was immediately followed by senior
Noah George in 18th at 26:13.3.
Sophomore
Max Germann rounded out the counted times for the Colonels by finishing 26th overall with a time of 26:38.3. All five of Centre's counted times on the day represented personal best marks.
NEXT UP
The Colonels will be idle next week and will return to action on Nov. 15 with the Great Lakes Regional Championships.
