LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Centre women's cross country made the short trip up to Spalding to compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships. The Colonels finished in ninth place overall with two runners being named to the All-Region squad.
The Colonels posted a combined team score of 293 points to pick up their ninth place finish. Centre finished 21 points back of Ohio Northern and 59 points ahead of Kalamazoo. Trine won the Regional championship with 58 points.
Individually, senior
Sophie Bouldin earned a spot on the All-Region Team as she finished fifth overall, completing the 6k course in 22:18.30. As one of the seven top individual qualifiers outside of the two qualifying teams, Bouldin earned a spot in the NCAA Championships next week.
Joining Bouldin on the All-Region squad was senior
Gracie West, who finished inside the individual top 35 to earn the award, taking 28th place overall with a time of 22:54.45. Senior
Cara Taylor was next to cross the finish line for Centre, posting a time of 23:50.57 to crack the top 75 overall.
First-year
Savannah Setzer saved the best race of her season for the last as she posted a time of 24:06.48 for the fastest 6k race of her freshman campaign.
Emma Musgrave rounded out the counted scores with a time of 24:28.63.

Sophie Bouldin will represent Centre women's cross country in the NCAA Division III Championships, which will take place in Spartanburg, S.C. on Nov. 22.
