SHELBYVILLE, Ind. - Centre women's cross country began the 2026 season on a hot morning in Indiana as they raced in the Grizzly Invitational, hosted by Franklin. The Colonels finished with a combined team score of 90 points to finish fourth overall.
Centre's 90 points were four back of third place Oberlin. DePauw picked up the win with 37 points, followed by Rhodes with 51, with Rose-Hulman rounding out the top five team scores.
The Colonels were one of three teams to place all five scoring runners inside the individual top 25. Senior
Emma Musgrave finished eighth overall as she led the way for the Colonels with a 5k time of 19:59.7.
First-year
Olivia Chrapliwy had a fine collegiate debut as she finished in 17th place with a time of 20:35.9, followed immediately by sophomore
Abi Albright with a time of 20:39.7.
Junior
Claire Barnett (22nd place) and sophomore
Mary Darling (25th place) rounded out Centre's scoring for the day with respective times of 20:53.1 and 21:01.1. First-year
Keegan Caudill also cracked the top 30 on the individual scoreboard after clocking in at 21:20.1.

After an idle week, the Colonels will return to action on Sept. 19 with the Berea Invitational.
