Women's Soccer has 10 mentioned in All-SAA Honors

The Southern Athletic Association announced its 2025 Women's Soccer All-Conference honors on Tuesday. Centre had ten student-athletes receive recognition.

Tessa Miles, Claire Mullen, Riley Givens and Alexis Kronenthal were all named 2nd Team At-Large.

Miles finished tied for 2nd on the team with 5 goals in the regular season, including 3 game-winners. The last of which came in the regular season finale as Centre won at Sewanee, 1-0, to lock up a berth in the SAA Tournament. Mullen was named for her excellent play on both ends of the pitch. She scored the winner in Centre's 1-0 win at Mount St. Joseph, while adding a goal and assist in the Colonels' 3-2 thrilling win over North Central. Riley Givens led the Colonels in scoring with 7 goals and 16 points. She tallied 3 game-winners with her high point being 2 goals in the North Central win. Alexis Kronenthal led the Colonels in minutes at 1,405 and was one of 2 to start all 18 games (Ella Mann), while playing outstanding two-way soccer in the midfield. Her ball-handling was critical in a number of advancements that led to scoring chances and goals.

The Colonels had 5 players receive honorable mention by the SAA.

Madeline Redmon got the nod in goal. The freshman keeper started 15 of 17 games in her debut year and finished the regular season with 6 shutouts and a goals against average of only 0.73. She made 37 saves and posted a record of 10-3-2. Claire Cavacini also earned honorable mention. She played in all 18 games with 14 starts, tallying 5 goals and 1 assist. She scored in 3 of Centre's first 4 games, including a tally in a 4-2 win over Division II Kentucky Wesleyan on August 31st. Lily Burchett was honored after scoring a team-high 4 game-winning goals in the regular season. Burchett started the campaign with a 2-goal outing in Centre's 3-1 win over Covenant. Her 5 goals came in those 4 games, proving her ability to perform in the clutch. Burchett also led the team with a .706 shots on goal percentage. Aida Bell and Olivia Federico also got the nod for their excellent work on the back line, leading a Centre defense that gave up less than a goal per game and allowed fewer than 4 shots on goal per game.

Meg Ralston was named to the SAA All-Sportsmanship Team. In 15 starts and nearly 1000 minutes played, Ralston was not called for a single yellow card as another leader on Centre's vaunted defense.

The group will look to lead Centre back to the postseason promised land starting with an opening round matchup in the SAA Tournament against Oglethorpe. Kickoff from Memphis, TN is set for Thursday at 1:00pm ET and can be viewed by clicking here.
