ATLANTA - Earlier today the Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for baseball and after a massive week, Centre's
Ben Prather has been named SAA Player of the Week for games played through Mar. 30.
Prather had an amazing week of filling box scores as Centre won all four of its games against Transylvania and LaGrange this week. Moving in the batting order from second to leadoff, the junior All-American went 8-13 at the plate with one double and one homer, slugging .923 for the week. In addition, he walked seven times to give him an on-base percentage of .762. Prather scored six runs and stole four bases to help Centre pull off the unblemished week.
Centre baseball will return to action on Apr. 1 with a trip to Spalding.
