DANVILLE, Ky. - This morning the NCAA released its field for the 2025 Division III Track & Field Championships and three athletes from the Centre men's trip will be making the trip to Ohio for the finals.
Fifth-year
Nick Whitlow will have a busy weekend as he competes in the decathlon. An indoor All-American this year in the heptathlon, Whitlow set a new school record with 6,541 points in the decathlon at the Berry Field Day and Multis back in April. That total currently puts him at 12th in the nation.
Senior
Dirk Gambrel qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 400m. Gambrel approached his prior school record in the event several times this season before topping it at the Southern Athletic Association Championships with a time of 52.70, good for 19th in the country.
Sophomore
Cree Ross will be competing in the triple jump at the NCAA Finals. An All-American in the event during indoor season, Ross posted a mark of 49-8.5 (15.15m) in his first outdoor jump of the season at the Emory Spring Break Classic and that mark held all season as the fourth best in the country.
The NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships will take place in Geneva, Ohio on May 22-24. The event schedule for the Centre men is listed below.

6:10 PM: 400m Hurdles prelims
May 24
11 AM: Triple Jump
3:15 PM: 400m Hurdles finals
The decathlon will take place all day long on May 22 and May 23.
