GREENSBORO, N.C. - The postseason awards keep coming in for Centre baseball as three players from the 2025 teams have been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-Region squads for Region 6.

Ben Prather was an All-Region First Team selection as a utility mound for the second year in a row. A 2024 All-American, Prather played six positions this year, led the Colonels in batting average, OPS, hits, doubles and stolen bases and was a tone setter for the lineup after moving into the leadoff position halfway through the season. The 2024 SAA Player of the Year showed a flair for the dramatic as he hit a walk-off grand slam in the SAA Tournament against Berry. Prather also had another excellent season on the mound for the Colonels, posting an 8-0 record in 11 starts while recording 63 strikeouts and a 2.62 ERA while limiting opposing hitters to a .221 average, earning a complete game victory against Berry in the SAA Tournament and picking up another win in the NCAA Tournament. During the season, Prather received weekly honors from the SAA on separate occasions as an offensive player and a pitcher.

Ayden Lohr made his debut appearance on the All-Region squad with a Second Team appearance. An All-SAA First Teamer for the first time, the sophomore center fielder moved to the top of the order this season before settling into the no. 3 spot in the lineup during the second half of the season, a time that saw him catch fire at the plate. Lohr hit .352 and tied for the team lead in both runs and RBIs during the regular season. His 11 home runs are the second most in a single season by a Centre player, trailing only Danny Johnson's 12 homers in 1997. He also put together the longest hitting streak for the Colonels this season, recording a hit in each of the last 15 games in the regular season. In the NCAA Tournament, Lohr stayed hot, hitting .476 (10-21) with six runs scored in four games.

Zach Heavern was the final All-Region winner for the Colonels, earning Second Team honors. A two-time All-SAA recipient including a Second Team appearance this season, Heavern made 20 appearances for the Colonels out of the pen, tops on the team. In those games, he finished with a 2.72 ERA and recorded 62 strikeouts in 58.1 innings pitched. He led the Colonels in both strikeouts per nine innings as well as opposing batting average. All but one of Heavern's outings was at least two innings and he was named SAA Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 3 after striking out 12 in 6.1 innings across three appearances.
