DANVILLE, Ky. - For the first time in program history, the Centre baseball team was ranked in the d3baseball.com preseason poll. The Colonels were ranked no. 17 in the nation in this year's preseason poll, which came out earlier today.

In 2025, the Colonels entered the top 25 in early March and stayed there for the rest of the season, reaching as high as a no. 12 national ranking as they finished with a 32-11 overall record and ended the season ranked no. 18 in the country.

Centre looks to have another challenging schedule in 2026 as SAA newcomer Trinity is ranked no. 9 in this year's preseason poll, with regular season non-conference opponents Chicago and Transylvania also receiving top 25 votes.

The 2026 Centre baseball season will begin on Feb. 14-15 as the Colonels host a three-game set against the University of Chicago.
