LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After picking up their first win of the season two weeks ago, the Centre women's cross country team returned to action and put up another impressive showing with a seventh place finish in the Greater Louisville Classic, racing against a field of teams from all divisions.
The Colonels finished third among Division III teams in the field as only Trine and Manchester finished ahead of Centre. Centre's combined team score for the meet was 234 points.
Individually, Centre's top runner on the day was senior
Emma Musgrave, who steadily gained ground in the standings as the 6k race progressed and finished with a time of 23:31.1 to finish 22nd overall.
Sophomore
Mary Darling clocked in at 24:04.6 to finish just inside the individual top 50 alongside first-year
Olivia Chrapliwy, who finished one tenth of a second behind her at 24:04.7.
Claire Barnett turned in a time of 24:17.3 to finish just outside the individual top 50, with
Abi Albright rounding out the Colonels' scored times in the race, crossing the finish line in 24:29.2.

The next race for the Colonels will be a big one as they head to Oberlin for the Regional Rumble and an opportunity to race against some of the best teams in the Great Lakes Region.
