SATURDAY RECAP

DANVILLE, Ky. -
Centre women's track & field battled neck and neck with Trinity to take the crown at the SAA Indoor Championships. Ultimately half a point was a difference in the team scores as Centre finished in second place despite a slew of personal best and school record performances.

The leaderboard was a two-horse race as Trinity edged out the Colonels, 166.5 points to 166. Berry finished in third place with 106.5 points.

The first field event of the Saturday session was the pole vault and Lyla Bordwine took sixth place after clearing 10-8 (3.25m).

In the shot put, the Colonels had three of the top five throws of the day. Zoey Shahid-Scott led the way for Centre, finishing second overall with a mark of 42-8.25 (13.01m), with Shelbi Valentine in fourth place and Caeley Wilson in fifth.

The final jumping event of the day was the triple jump and it was a big win for the Colonels, with Serena McNeilly taking first place with a mark of 39-2 (11.94m), followed by Chloe Hein in second place and Kendra Christopher in eighth.

Moving to the track, the first record to fall for the Centre women was in the 60m hurdles as Alexandria Masden broke her previous school record with a time of 9.17, with McNeilly and Rianne Moss giving the Colonels a 1-2-3 finish in the race.

The women's 400m saw Ainsley Wilson take third place with a time of 59.73, with Faith Peterson coming in eighth place.

In the 60m, Hein earned her second victory of the meet as she took first place with a time of 8.57, with Amari Robinson finishing in eighth.

The 800m had a pair of runners crack the scoring column for Centre, led by Adelyn Shupert in fifth place with a time of 2:23.22, followed by Emma Musgrave in seventh place.

Hein got back into the win column in the next race and made more school history as she picked up the win in the 200m with a time of 24.67 to break the school record she set earlier this season at Wittenberg.

In the 3000m, Sophie Bouldin took fifth place in the long distance race as she finished with a time of 10:25.70. She was immediately followed by teammate Gracie West in sixth place.

The final event of the day was the 4x400m relay and Centre again set a school record as Masden, Wilson, Moss and Hein became the first Centre 4x400m relay squad ever to crack the four-minute mark, winning with a time of 3:59.14.

FRIDAY RECAP

DANVILLE, Ky. -
The opening day of competition is in the books at the 2026 SAA Indoor Championships and the Centre women's team already set two more program records in the jumping events, including a brand new NCAA Division III record in the long jump. The Colonels are tied for the lead with Trinity after scoring 50 points on Friday.

All-American Chloe Hein made NCAA history as she recorded a mark of 21-2.25 (6.46m), now officially the best mark in the history of the women's long jump at the NCAA Division III level. Teammate and fellow All-American Serena McNeilly finished third in the same event with a mark of 19-0.75 (5.81m).

McNeilly later earned a win in the high jump as she cleared 5-10 (1.78m), adding nearly a full inch to her previous school record in the mark in the event. Hein cleared 4-11 to finish in eighth place and earn another point in the event.

In the weight throw, Zoey Shahid-Scott finished fifth place by a fraction over teammate Lindsey Browning, who took sixth place. Both threw marks of 47-11, with Shahid-Scott getting the edge by 0.01m.

The final scored event of the night was the women's 5k and Sophie Bouldin took third place with a time of 18:04.87, with Gracie West and Cara Taylor each cracking the overall top eight as well.
