3/20/2026 10:01:00 PM

Danville, KY - Centre returned to competition on Friday at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swim & Dive Championships. The Colonels continued to flex their might as they laid claim to five more All-American honors.

In swimming, Tiernan Moore swam in the 100 yard breaststroke. During prelims, Moore swam in a time of 54.11 seconds to place 7th out of 32 swimmers and also qualify for the championship final. With his time, Moore drew lane 1, increasing his difficulty against an already tough field. Moore fought hard and came home in a tie for 6th place with a final time of 53.81 seconds. Caroline Lee also returned to the pool in the 100 backstroke event, where she finished in 39th with a preliminary time of 57.05 seconds, which was nearly three-tenths faster than her seed time.

Moore will go for another All-American honor and perhaps more on Saturday when he competes in the 200 breaststroke, starting with prelims at 10:00am.

Diving switched to the 1-meter boards on Friday. Centre had all four of its divers from Wednesday's 3-meter competition also on the boards for Friday. In prelims, the Colonels were able to get all four into the finals round. Brandon Anderson placed 13th in prelims with 448.00 points. Rowan Fitzsimmons was just ahead in 12th (448.75). Four spots higher was Garrett George in 8th (456.80). Everyone was chasing Justin Toth as he claimed the top spot after prelims with a score of 513.55.

In the final, Toth was chased down from behind by divers from Denison and Alfred State. Still, Toth grabbed 3rd place and 1st Team All-American honors with a final score of 527.90 points. Garrett George finished 8th in the championship final with 452.85 points to take another 1st Team honor. Rowan Fitzsimmons (461.00) and Brandon Anderson (450.15) placed 13th and 15th to stake claim to 2nd Team All-American honors.
