ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for baseball earlier this afternoon and Centre sophomore
Isaac Rone was named Pitcher of the Week after an excellent start on Apr. 11.
Rone put together the best starting performance of his career in game 1 of Centre's weekend series against Berry. Through 7.1 innings of work, Rone struck out a career high nine batters while allowing just one run in the 4-1 Centre victory, improving to 4-0 on the season.
Through the first 30 games of the season, Rone is second in the SAA with a 2.45 ERA and is holding opposing batters to a league low .196 average.
Centre baseball will return to action on Apr. 17 as they kick off a big weekend series at Southwestern.
