NEW YORK CITY - Centre national champions
Chloe Hein and
Serena McNeilly have been selected to compete in the 2026 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, the organization announced Wednesday evening.
It is a prestigious honor for both champion athletes, who finished in the top 16 in their respective events in the country - regardless of college division or amateur status - to qualify. Hein is ranked no. 14 nationally in the long jump, while McNeilly is ranked no. 14 in the high jump.
McNeilly and Hein are the fourth and fifth Centre athletes to ever qualify for the USATF Outdoor Championships, joining fellow Centre track alumni Annie Rodenfels, JP Vaught and Meghan Owens.
This year's USATF Outdoor Championships will take place on July 23-26 from the Icahn Stadium in New York City, with both Centre representatives competing on Sunday, July 26. McNeilly will go first with the women's high jump at 3:45 PM ET, followed by Hein in the women's long jump at 4:05 PM.
