Who was your favorite teacher growing up and why?
Mr. Spencer – He was an old hippie science teacher who clearly loved his job and always made things fun and exciting. He also really enjoyed blowing things up – who doesn’t love watching that in class?
Other than hard work, what is the one thing you wish to give back to Centre Soccer?
I hope to give the best leadership this team has had in four years by learning from the three years of captains before me, continuing old traditions as well as bringing new ideas to the team.
What is your favorite inspirational movie?
“Miracle”, hands down.
What is your favorite motivational song before a game?
“For You” by Timeflies – It was the first song playing when I got to the locker room for my first game at Centre.
What is one interesting fact that people would be surprised to know about you?
Before I knew about Centre, I wanted to go to the Air Force Academy and one day become an astronaut.
If you could eat only one food, what would it be?
Shepherd’s pie – Mashed potatoes, beef, vegetables – what’s not to love?
What is your favorite soccer moment?
Scoring the game-winning goal in overtime against Wooster freshman year. I can still remember sliding in to finish the cleanup shot and how exciting it was.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
Attend graduate school for occupational therapy
If there is one thing you wish you could learn to do, what would it be?
A back handspring
Why did you choose Centre?
When I came to visit I didn’t want to visit anywhere else. Everything felt perfectly right and as soon as I left I wanted to go back again.
