Alexandra Piekarz joined the Centre field hockey team in the summer of 2022, the following fall being her first season with the team.
Originally from the Lincoln Park, N.J., area, Piekarz was a student-athlete at Seton Hill in the sport as a goalie. After graduation, she jumped into coaching and became an assistant coach for Stockton University in the fall of 2018. She helped coach the Ospreys to an ECAC Championship in the 2018 season.
A couple seasons later Piekarz moved to William Paterson University in the summer of 2020, where she worked as the assistant coach for the field hockey program. Working through the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped guide the team to NJAC conference championship titles in both 2020 and 2021.
Outside of college athletics, Piekarz also provided valuable insight as the Director of Goalie Curriculum & Training for the Falcon Field Hockey Club that started in May 2020. She worked with a variety of skill levels and student-athletes from grades K-12.
