Alexandra Piekarz joined the Centre Athletics staff in the summer of 2022.
Before getting into coaching, Piekarz served as a student-athlete on Seton Hill's field hockey team in Division II. As a goalkeeper, she led the team with 84 saves in a little under 800 minutes during the 2015 season.

After finishing her career as a student-athlete, Piekarz jumped into the coaching role in August of 2018. Most recently being the Assistant Coach for William Paterson's field hockey team, where she helped the Pioneers achieve a NJAC Tournament Title for the program's first conference crown in 44 seasons. She was also pivotal in the team's recruiting and schedule planning during her tenure at William Paterson University.

Piekarz also gained a plethora of extra experience in the club scene while coaching at William Paterson, serving as the Director of Goalie Curriculum & Training for the Falcon Field Hockey Club. Conducting practices and coaching in tournaments, Piekarz developed individual plans for each student-athlete in a variety of ages and skill levels, ranging from grades K-12.

Piekarz also brings in academic experience that she earned as a student-athlete and assistant coach, garnering a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Genocide and Holocaust Studies from Seton Hill as a student-athlete. After graduation and earning an assistant coaching role at Stockton University, Piekarz studied for a Masters of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. While she studied and coached at Stockton, Piekarz helped lead the Division III program to a ECAC Conference Championship title in the 2018 season.Â
