McJunkin joined the Colonels in the summer of 2021 as the Tight Ends Coach and Social Media Coordinator.
He came to Danville after serving as a Graduate Assistant at University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky., where he worked primarily with wide receivers and the offensive line. McJunkin also assisted in recruiting, social media and graphic design. In 2019, he helped the Patriots reach the NAIA quarterfinals and finish with a No. 7 national ranking.
McJunkin competed for the Patriots as a student-athlete, as well, starting three of of his four years on the offensive line. Playing in over 30 career games, he was a four-time Academic All-Conference selection and a CoSIDA Academic All-American. He received a B.S. in Communications Arts and a M.S. in Strategic Management from the University of the Cumberlands.
