Jason Polmanteer

Jason Polmanteer joined the Colonels prior to the 2019 season as the defensive line coach.

Two members of his d-line unit were named All-SAA in Polmanteer's first season. Clayton Bell finished second in the league in sacks (11), and Oliver Hunter was among the SAA's leaders in tackles-for-loss (9).

He previously served in the same role at Lindsey Wilson College.

During his first season with LWC in 2017, Polmanteer helped lead the Blue Raiders to an 11-1 overall record and an appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series Playoffs Quarterfinal Round. Lindsey Wilson captured the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division title with a perfect 6-0 record, the second conference title in program history. His defensive line unit helped aid the Blue Raider defense in forcing 24 turnovers, 23 sacks and 70.5 tackler for loss throughout the year.

Polmanteer went to Lindsey Wilson from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind., where he served as the defensive line coach and video coordinator for two seasons.

During his two seasons at Rose-Hulman, Polmanteer helped guide the Fightin’ Engineers to a 16-5 overall record, including the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship in 2016 and the program’s first ever NCAA Playoff appearance. He helped lead a defense that ranked first in the conference in sacks, tackles for loss, scoring defense, red-zone defense and pass defense efficiency. He coached a trio of all-conference selections in his two seasons at Rose-Hulman while also assisting with game plans, opponent breakdown, film breakdown and upload and assisting with the punt unit and strength and conditioning program.

Prior to his time at Rose-Hulman, Polmanteer was the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach at Portage Northern High School and served as a student assistant coach at Western Michigan University.

Polmanteer graduated from Western Michigan in 2013 where he played football for two seasons. He later obtained his master’s degree from Indiana State University in 2017.
