Kasey McRay joined the Centre basketball staff in the fall of 2021.
A native of Harrodsburg, Ky., McRay came to Centre from Mercer County Senior High School where he spent four years as an Assistant Coach of the Varsity Program and head coach of the JV Program. Prior his tenure at Mercer County, he spent one year under Damon Kelley as an Assistant Coach at West Jessamine High School in Nicholasville, Ky.

McRay attended the University of Louisville, where he served as a student manager under Rick Pitino from 2010-14. He was promoted to head manager at UofL in August 2013. McRay was responsible for filming and editing Cardinal practices and games, along with editing game film for opponent scouting.

During McRay’s time at Louisville, the Cardinals made four NCAA appearances, won three conference tournament titles, appeared in two Final Fours, and won the NCAA National Championship in 2013.

McRay earned his Bachelor's Degree in Health and Human Performance from Louisville in 2014 and his Master’s Degree in Teaching from the University of the Cumberlands in 2019. He currently serves as a full time teacher at Mercer County Senior High School.

McRay’s brother Kameron is a Centre College graduate and was a member of the Centre College Men’s Basketball Team from 2005-2009. McRay and his wife, Olivia, reside in Danville.
