Centre College Athletics

Ava Watson is a freshman from Flemingsburg, Kentucky, majoring in Business with intended minors in Health & Science and Spanish. She is the daughter of Megan and Brad Watson.

Ava chose Centre because she loved the welcoming community and atmosphere of campus. She also wanted to attend a school where academics are prioritized alongside athletics. Although she knows the experience will be challenging, Ava is excited for the opportunity to grow both academically and athletically. She plays point guard and shooting guard.

In high school, Ava reached the 1,000- and 1,500-point clubs and recorded 500 career rebounds. She was part of the 2023-24 District Championship team and earned All-District honors in 2024 and 2025, All-Region honors in 2024, and All-Area honors in 2025 and 2026. Ava was also a member of the Kessler Scholar Group.
