Celia Kline joined the Centre women's basketball coaching staff in the summer of 2021.
Kline came from the University of Louisville where she worked in the athletic department for various teams, including football, volleyball, women’s basketball and softball in social media and marketing. Prior to Louisville, Kline was a graduate assistant for Cleveland State Women’s Basketball where she was responsible for various gameday duties, film and scouting report exchange, social media, and overall day to day operations for the team. The Vikings finished the season 21-11 with a WBI tournament berth with Kline on staff before the season was halted due to Covid-19.
A 2019 Transylvania University grad, Kline had a stellar playing career, leading the Pioneers to the DIII Sweet 16, HCAC regular season championship, and HCAC tournament championship with a 27-3 record during her senior year. During her sophomore season, Kline finished second nationally in made three-pointers with 100, and during her final campaign, led all Division III players with 101 made three-pointers and ranked second with a 48.1% clip from behind-the-arc. She finished her career as the all-time leader in three-pointers made at Transylvania with 297. She finished with 1,304 points and was named to the First Team All-HCAC twice during her career. She was also a four-time HCAC All-Tournament Team member, earning MVP her senior season. Additionally, she was awarded the Transylvania Athletics Senior Leadership Award in 2019.
Kline earned a Bachelors of Arts in Exercise Science from Transylvania and a Masters of Science in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville.
