Anna Bissell was named the Centre women's lacrosse assistant coach in July 2024.
Bissell arrived in Danville following two seasons at Amherst College in Amherst, Mass. The Mammoths saw immense success in those two seasons with the perennial power reaching No. 13 in the IWLCA NCAA Division III polls in both seasons. She coached a total of two USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-Americans, five IWLCA Berkshire All-Region honorees, five All-NESCAC awardees, and the 2024 NESCAC Rookie of the Year.
Before her stint in Massachusetts, Bissell was on the staff at Division I Delaware State University. She served as an assistant coach and worked with various aspects of the program including recruiting, developing practice plans, and several administrative duties.
Bissell got her start in collegiate coaching at fellow Division III institution Methodist University. She spent two seasons with the Monarchs as an assistant coach and also assisted with the program's strength and conditioning efforts.
The now Colonel assistant competed at the collegiate level at Division II Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina. She was a four-year letter winner for the Bears. Bissell was also a member of the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship squad.
