Biography

Who was your favorite teacher growing up and why?
My favorite teacher was my AP English teacher that I had for both junior and senior year. She was seriously just like Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World and taught us lessons without directly coming out and saying what we were supposed to learn. She taught us life lessons, how to be a good person, how to treat people, and taught us amazing writing and analytical skills. She is the type of teacher they make movies about, I swear!

Other than hard work, what is the one thing you wish to give back to Centre soccer?
I wish to contribute to an intense and passionate spirit that our entire team encompasses. When I came to Centre, one of the first things I loved was that everyone worked so hard to be part of such a strong team. I want to help bring that mentality to the next level and cause such an intense chemistry and mindset that makes our team so close that the freshman class feels like they have been here for four years just like the seniors have, and that makes them work as hard and lead just as much as the seniors do.

What is your favorite inspirational movie?
Miracle and Remember the Titans... and Gracie. Okay, so I obviously have a lot of inspirational movies. But, specifically, I love the political aspect between the Soviets and the USA in Miracle. It reminds me of us and Emory, haha, and USA does beat them, FYI. Remember the Titans is awesome just because it makes me want to go play some rough soccer where you are unbeatable because the ball is the only thing you are working for or worrying about, not the bodies that lie in front of you getting the ball. And, I love Gracie because it shows a female working her butt off, and proving how good she is even when everyone doubts her.

What is your favorite motivational song before a game?
Umm... again, I am going to have a few. Blood on the Leaves by Kanye West has an excellent beat drop that makes me want to go kill another team... not literally, but you know, sort of. Watch Me Shine (the song from Legally Blond) is a really good song that makes you feel like you can do it no matter what, and everyone else can watch you shine. We Own It by Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz makes me want to go dominate as a team and fight for my team.

What is one interesting fact people would be surprised to know about you?
I have never taken a prescription medication. Yeah, that is a weird answer, but I already used this answer for one of my classes this semester and everyone was pretty shocked!

If you could only eat one food, what would it be?
I love food. But, probably mashed potatoes/baked potatoes or macaroni and cheese (obviously I am rather indecisive considering my many answers when I am told to give one...)

What is your favorite soccer moment?
I can''t give just one as my absolute favorite, but I will give a good memory that is stored with my many awesome memories! Honestly, my favorite soccer moment or decision ever made was to transfer from my first college freshman year and come to Centre to play soccer. The number of times I have thought back to that decision and the many moments that I am able to cherish because of that decision leads me to be super thankful and expressive of my appreciation for Centre soccer.

What do you hope to do after graduation?
I hope to be happy! But really, maybe law school to be a prosecuting attorney, or maybe a physical trainer. I haven''t decided yet because I am clearly indecisive... but I hope to be happy after graduation!

If there is one thing you wish you could learn to do, what would it be?
Sing! I wish I could learn how to sing well, but that usually means you have to have vocal talent, haha!

Why did you choose Centre?
I chose Centre because I knew it would challenge me academically AND athletically. I didn''t want either of those categories to come easily to me. I wanted to have to work my butt off in both departments to be satisfied. I am very happy with my decision, and Centre was successful in challenging me in every way I wanted. It is also just an amazing community to be a part of, and memories that will forever be engraved in my memory have come from being at Centre.
