Schank’s early goal the difference in 1-0 win at Washington College

CHESTERTON, Md. – Centre field hockey wrapped up their East Coast trip with a 1-0 victory Sunday against Washington College at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium.
 
Although scoring just once, the Colonels (8-3) held the Shorewomen (4-11) without a single shot attempt in the win. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre's Emily Schank provided the game's only goal roughly nine minutes into the match, getting an assist from Sarah Biggs
 
- Washington College had two penalty corner opportunities in the first half, but couldn't muster a shot attempt.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Colonels out-shot the Shorewomen 21-0, putting 11 on goal. Centre had nine penalty corners. 

- Sunday marked the first-ever meeting between the programs, and the first field hockey game for Washington College against a program from Kentucky.
