DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre field hockey donned pink jerseys for their eighth annual Play 4 the Cure game Thursday evening, marking the occasion with a 6-0 victory over visiting Belmont Abbey at South Turf Field.
The Colonels improved to 9-3 with their third consecutive shutout, dropping the NCAA Division II Crusaders to 3-6 overall.
HIGHLIGHTS

Sarah Biggs, found the back of the cage just 70 seconds into the game.
- Midway through the half,
Savannah Elpers and Biggs scored roughly one minute apart to make it 3-0 in favor of the home side.
Emily Schank assisted on the latter goal.
- The Colonels tallied three more in the second half, beginning with
Emily Schank's goal following a penalty corner in the 45th minute.
- Elpers slammed home two more goals for her second hat trick of the season.
