SEWANEE, Tenn. – Centre women's soccer closed the regular season Saturday, defeating Sewanee, 5-0, at Puett Field to finish another perfect Southern Athletic Association schedule and the program's first-ever undefeated regular season.
The eighth-ranked Colonels (16-0) have now gone 7-0 in the SAA each of the last four seasons, and have gone unbeaten against conference foes in the last 43 matches (including tournament). Sewanee falls to 6-10-2 overall and 3-4 in-conference.

Cameron Zak needed less than three minutes to score what became the game-winning goal, finishing off a corner opportunity from
Alana Hughes.
- Hughes put away her 13th goal of the season in the 11th minute, giving Centre a 2-0 lead on
Keeghan Francis' assist.

Maddy Coleman and
Elizabeth Nelson both scored in the 80th minute to increase the lead, and Zak followed in the 86th with her second goal of the match.
Kennedy Cline provided the assist on Turner's goal.

- Sewanee managed to double the total number of shots Centre has allowed in the SAA thus far, but the Colonels still amassed a 24-5 advantage in attempts.

The top-seeded Colonels host a SAA Tournament quarterfinal against eight-seed Millsaps next Saturday, Oct. 27. Start time is still to be determined.
