MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Centre volleyball team wrapped up its Southern Athletic Association slate of games with a road match against the Rhodes Lynx. The Colonels dropped their conference finale to the Lynx in four sets.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels held a small lead for most of the opening frame, but Rhodes used a 10-1 run to go from down four to up five, eventually winning by a score of 25-16.
- Rhodes used the momentum of their strong start to the first set to open the second, scoring the first eight points and cruising to a 25-12 win to take a 2-0 lead.
- Centre led for the majority of the third set as well before Rhodes made an 8-1 run and threatened to sweep at 23-21. After a Centre timeout, the Colonels regained their composure as

Keeley Morton and
Aby Dallas put away consecutive kills and after a Lynx error, Centre extended the match with a 25-23 win. Rhodes would quickly recapture momentum in the fourth set, scoring the first 11 points and winning 25-6.

Peyton Vacala finished with a game high 21 digs, with Vernon and
Kylie Cochran also finishing in double digits in digs.
- The Lynx finished with 12 aces on the day, including four in the 8-0 start to the second set.

- Centre volleyball will wrap up its regular season next week with tournament action at Illinois Wesleyan, beginning with a doubleheader against Nebraska Wesleyan and Coe on Oct. 26.
