CRESTVIEW, Ky. – Centre women's basketball fell by an 81-51 score against No. 2 Thomas More Sunday afternoon inside the Connor Convocation Center.
The Colonels drop to 8-4 while suffering consecutive defeats for the first time this season, while the host Saints improve to 18-0.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre went toe-to-toe with the nationally-ranked Saints in the opening quarter, trailing just 17-13 after the first 10 minutes.
- Thomas More broke open the game with a 23-point second quarter, and took a 40-22 lead into the break.

Madison Rice hit a trio of 3-pointers in the third quarter, and
Mikayla Fee added six points as Centre outscored the Saints 21-20 in the third quarter. The Colonels hit nine of their 12 shots during the period
- The Saints squashed any comeback bid in the fourth, finishing on a 21-8 stretch to close with the 81-51 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Thomas More hit better than 54% from the floor and was 13 of 14 from the free throw line. Centre finished shooting above 43%, but managed only three free throw attempts and turned the ball over 19 times.
- The Saints had a 38-16 advantage in the paint, 22-14 off turnovers and 16-4 on second chance points.
- Rice led the Colonels with 12 points, all from 3-pointers, and five rebounds.
Abigail Stewart contributed eight points and a pair of boards, while
Abigail Wehby had three assists and two steals.
