SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Centre volleyball team played a rare midweek conference game when they traveled to Sewanee for a Tuesday night clash with the Tigers. Sewanee broke a 1-1 tie by winning the final two sets to take the match in four.
HIGHLIGHTS
- In a close opening set, the Tigers scored the final three points to go up 1-0 with a 25-21 victory.
- Centre bounced back with a solid performance in the second set, grabbing the early lead and holding off every Sewanee rally as
Bailey Vernon put home the final kill in a 25-17 victory for the Colonels.
- Slow starts doomed the Colonels in both of the last two sets as Sewanee pulled away to identical 25-16 wins to take the match.

Aby Dallas with five.

Kylie Cochran had 17 of the Colonels' 24 assists in the match.

Bailey Vernon led Centre with 11 digs, with Cochran and Vacala each adding nine.

Centre will return home for a Family Weekend conference series. The Colonels will host Rhodes on Saturday and Hendrix on Sunday.
