DANVILLE, Ky. - For the fourth consecutive time in Alumni Gym, the Centre volleyball overcame a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set, but came up short, losing to the Transylvania Pioneers by a score of 3-2.
HIGHLIGHTS
- After losing the first two sets by scores of 25-20 and 26-24, Centre trailed 21-20 in the third set before reeling off the next five points to take a 25-21 win.
- The fourth set followed a similar pattern. After falling behind 20-17,
James Neyhouse called a timeout and the Colonels responded with their best stretch of the entire match, scoring seven consecutive points, eventually winning by a score of 25-22 after a Transy service error.
- In the fifth set, the score was tied at 10-10 before Transy put together a critical 3-0. The Pioneers would eventually score five of the final six points and take the fifth set and the match by a score of 15-11.

Savanna Roper had her second consecutive match with a team high 14 kills, once again one shy of a career high.

Kylie Cochran finished with 32 assists, 12 digs, a pair of blocks and a game high hitting percentage of .455.

Peyton Vacala and
Bailey Vernon each led Centre with 18 digs. Cochran, Roper and
Samantha Goldizen all finished with double digits in digs.
