BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Centre volleyball team fell to 0-6 in conference play on Saturday, losing to the Birmingham Southern Panthers in straight sets.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Panthers rallied down the stretch in the opening set to take a 25-20 victory, scoring the last three points of the match to turn a close contest into a win.
- The first set proved to be the most competitive one of the day for the Colonels as BSC took the next two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-11 to take the match.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Keeley Morton finished with a team high six kills on the day and also led the Colonels with two blocks.
- Bailey Vernon paced the Colonels with 20 digs, with Peyton Vacala adding ten digs.
- The Panthers hit at a percentage of .213 for the day with 43 kills.

It will be a quick turnaround for the Centre volleyball team as they will return to the road on Sunday with a trip to Mississippi to take on the Millsaps Majors in Jackson.
