DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's basketball fell by a 56-37 margin Friday evening against Southern Athletic Association foe Millsaps, dropping its sixth consecutive contest.
The visiting Majors, who are first in the SAA standings, improve to 16-3 overall (7-1 SAA) while outscoring the Colonels in each quarter. Centre falls to 9-10 overall (2-6 SAA).
HIGHLIGHTS
- After holding a brief 5-2 lead, Centre found itself trailing 10-8 after the opening quarter.
- Millsaps went on an 8-0 run to start the second period, taking its biggest lead of the game to that point, 18-8.
- Centre cut the deficit down after a handful of scoring contributions from
Ellen Hicks and
Kat Wilson, but a late 3-pointer pushed Millsaps' halftime lead back to 30-20.
- Millsaps continued to build on its lead in the second, at one point holding a 21-point advantage.

- Millsaps cleaned up the glass, out-rebounding Centre 43-26, including 13 offensive boards.
