DANVILLE, Ky. – For the second time in as many years, Centre women's soccer finishes the regular season undefeated and untied, following its 5-0 victory over Sewanee on Senior Day at Andrew P. Amend Field.
The No. 6/11 Colonels, who went 16-0 last regular season, improve to 18-0 and 7-0 in the Southern Athletic Association. It marks Centre's fifth consecutive 7-0 SAA record, and moves the Colonels' regular season win streak to 41 matches dating back to 2017.
Sewanee falls to 7-6-2 overall and 4-2-1 in-conference.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre nabbed a pair of first half goals in quick succession, beginning with Hughes' goal in the 19th minute.

Kristin Dean doubled the lead less than two minutes later, converting on an assist from Hughes following a Centre corner kick.
- In the 58th minute, Paynter would score the first of two off the helper from Dean.

Sarah Sirkin netted her seventh goal of the season in the 70th minute, finishing a cross from
Rachael Boule.
- Paynter capped a memorable senior day with her second tally in the 78th minute from classmate
Hannah Bandura, good for her 10th goal of the season and second multi-score effort.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre followed a familiar script, dominating possession while out-shooting Sewanee, 28-1 (14-0 SOG). The Colonels also racked up a season-high 20 corners.
- With their first goal of the afternoon, the Colonels surpassed last season's 73 total team goals, setting a record for the Jay Hoffman era.
- With her 17th assist of the season,
Alana Hughes moved in front of Webster's Melissa Kasper as the active leader in career assists across all NCAA divisions.
