GREENCASTLE, Ind. – Centre women's lacrosse won their fourth game in a row Wednesday evening, defeating DePauw 16-10 on the road at Reavis Stadium while getting scoring contributions from eight individuals.
The Colonels, who won last year's meeting 15-4 in Danville, Ky., were making the program's first trip to Greencastle, Ind. Centre improves to 5-2 overall while dropping the host Tigers to 1-4.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre wasted next to no time taking a lead, as
Amelia Tomasulo scored just 19 seconds into the game.
- Five minutes later,
Mary Allen caused a turnover and hit
Abby Whitford to give the Colonels a 2-0 advantage.

Mary Katherine Hardy tallied her first goal near the 23-minute mark, causing a DePauw timeout.
- The break did little to slow Centre down, as
Hannah Rodell and
Sloan Reding each scored to make it 5-0.
- DePauw's Grace Clarke finally put the Tigers on the board with consecutive goals near the midway point, but
Bella Tacogue and
Hannah Hardy responded with goals of their own.
- The Colonels would carry a 7-4 lead into the half with seven different goal scorers.
- The second half would play slightly closer, but Centre's lead held across the final 30 minutes of action.
- Tacogue netted a pair goals during the opening stages of the second half, both coming off feeds from
Hannah Hardy and helping Centre to a 10-4 lead with just under 18 minutes remaining.

McKenna Hulette became the eighth different goal scorer for the Colonels at the 11:50 mark.
