JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. – Centre men's soccer scored three unanswered goals in a 3-2 comeback victory over Hanover Friday evening, opening the 2019 campaign at the Spalding Golden Eagle Classic in thrilling fashion.

The Colonels (1-0) found themselves trailing 2-0 to the Panthers (0-1), before a goal from Dylan Barth and a pair from Will Newton turned the tide. Nick Mazzarella assisted on all three tallies.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Hanover scored the opening goal less than 15 minutes into the first half, as Luke Eppler converted on a deflected shot.
- The Panthers made it 2-0 early in the second period, but Barth quickly answered by converting a feed from Mazzarella for Centre's first score.
- Newton leveled the score after cleaning up a rebounded shot by Mazzarella in the 72nd minute.
- He would net the game-winner roughly 10 minutes later, putting away a ball played in by Mazzarella from the right wing.
