Colonels fall to Lords in Bob Allen Nissan Classic finale

DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's soccer dropped a narrow 1-0 decision against visiting Kenyon Saturday evening, completing the 30th Annual Bob Allen Nissan Classic at Andrew P. Amend Field.

The No. 15 Colonels fall to 4-2-1 overall, while the No. 6 Lords improve to 5-1 while claiming the event's top spot.

HIGHLIGHTS
- There was little separating the two nationally-ranked programs across the opening 45 minutes, with an even number of total shots and attempts on target.
- Tate Johnson came up large for the Colonels in the 28th minute, saving a penalty kick from Johan Johannsson.
- Kenyon managed to out-shoot Centre in the second period, and Scott Upton's goal early in the half proved to be the only difference on the scoreboard.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Lords had 16 shots to the Colonels' 10, with a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal.
- Johnson would finish with six saves, four coming in the second half.
