DANVILLE, Ky.- Although they got off to a slow start, the Centre women's soccer squad kept their momentum going with a fourth consecutive shutout Tuesday evening, defeating Asbury 4-0 at Andrew P. Amend Field
With the win over the Eagles (1-5), the eighth-ranked Colonels sail to an 8-0 record while bringing their regular season win streak to an even 30 matches.

Rachael Boule broke the stalemate in the 32nd minute with a goal right out of reach of Asbury's keeper, as
Brooke Smithson provided an assist to help open the scoring.
- After the ball managed to glide by the keeper and off the foot of an Asbury defender,
Taylor Gebhart came through with a solid header to give Centre a 2-0 lead over the Eagles just minutes into the second half.

Meghan Paynter solidified Centre's win with two consecutive goals. After getting a touch on a crossover just shy of the net and scoring again minutes later, Paynter brought her season total up to five.

Sarah Stodghill grasped the only Asbury shot of the game in the 76th minute.
