DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's soccer continued its recent shutout streak Saturday evening, defeating Huntingdon by a 3-0 margin at Andrew P. Amend Field.
The eighth-ranked Colonels improve to 9-0 overall while recording their fifth consecutive shutout

Alana Hughes opened the scoring in the 17th minute, completing a give-and-go with
Elizabeth Nelson to make it 1-0 and give her seven goals for the year.
- Centre had a couple more shots on frame throughout the period, but Huntingdon's Courtney Dye was equal to keeping it a one goal margin heading into the half.

Brooke Smithson raised the score to 2-0 in the 61st minute, slipping a shot past Dye for her fifth goal of the season.

Cameron Zak nearly added to the lead on a header off a corner in the 82nd minute, but Dye was able to punch it over the crossbar.

Kristin Dean eventually made it 3-0, ripping a shot from 30 yards out that glanced off the crossbar and hit the back of the net. It was Dean's first goal of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre finished with 19 shots to Huntingdon's two, putting 14 on target. The Colonels also recorded six corners while the Hawks had none.

Jonelle Barron had one save on the Hawks' lone shot on goal.
