SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Ninth-ranked Centre women's soccer earned a come-from-behind victory Saturday afternoon at Wittenberg, overcoming an early deficit to win 2-1 at Edwards-Maurer Field.

Gracie Fitzgerald provided the game-winning goal in the 65th minute, lifting the Colonels to 3-0 overall while dropping the host Tigers to 2-2. Centre has won 26 regular season matches in a row dating back to 2017.Â

HIGHLIGHTS
- Although the Colonels maintained an advantage in shots throughout the contest, Wittenberg managed to gain a 1-0 edge in the 23rd minute on a goal from Brooke Peters.

Annie Stauffer leveled the score for Centre in the 42nd minute with her first goal in a Colonel uniform.
- The Colonels again controlled possession for much of the second period, and Fitzgerald eventually netted the game-winner midway through the half to make it 2-1.
- Wittenberg got off a handful of shots toward the end of the match, but
Jonelle Barron and the Centre defense was equal to the task, securing the victory.
