DANVILLE, Ky. – Mikayla Fee recorded an 18 point, 10 rebound double-double Friday evening, headlining a 74-45 rout for Centre women's basketball against visiting Hendrix inside Alumni Gymnasium.
The Colonels improved to 9-8 overall and 3-3 in the Southern Athletic Association, handing the Warriors their 14th consecutive defeat, leading to a 2-15 record overall and 0-6 mark in-conference.
Fee's 18 points marked a new career high for the senior forward, and the double-double was her fourth of the season.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The two sides traded early baskets, but a 7-0 run from Centre helped the home team grab a 15-11 advantage with under two to play in the quarter.
- Fee dropped 10 points in the first period, leading Centre to a 20-16 lead after 10 minutes.
- The Colonels took a 36-28 lead into the half after outscoring the Warriors in the second quarter, 16-12. Three of Centre's five field goals in the period came from long range.
- The third quarter proved to be the turning point in the game, as Centre put Hendrix in a rearview mirror with excellent play on both ends of the court.
- Centre held Hendrix without a point for more than six minutes, pushing the lead up to 20 after
Josie Thacker sank a bucket that made it 49-29. The Warriors turned the ball over six times during the quarter.
- Leading 55-33 with one quarter to play, the Colonels would cruise to the finish line as several reserves got in on the action.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Fee's career high came on a 7-for-14 effort from the field and topped her previous best of 16, set earlier this season against Hood.

Kat Wilson finished with 13 points, five assists and four rebounds.
- Ten different Colonels scored, including a collegiate-high four points from
Leslie Stewart.
- Centre's defense held Hendrix to a 32% shooting mark while forcing 16 turnovers. The Colonels ended up with a massive 20-5 advantage in points off turnovers, including 17 in the second half.
- The Colonels' size proved to be a large factor, as the home team racked up a 38-14 edge in points in the paint. Centre out-rebounded Hendrix by 11, including 13 offensive boards that resulted in 13 second chance points.
