Colonels shutout on the road at BSC

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Centre men's soccer fell by a 4-0 score Sunday at Birmingham-Southern, competing in Southern Athletic Association action at Preston Goldfarb Field at Berylson Soccer Park.
 
The Colonels drop to 5-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the SAA while the host Panthers improve to 6-5 overall and 2-1 in-conference.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre took the first shot of the afternoon, but the Panthers struck first on a Trey Hines goal in the 11th minute.
- The Colonels' JK Gonzalez had a shot saved late in the period as BSC maintained a 1-0 lead at the half.
- BSC took command of the match with quick goals in the 57th and 59th minutes, adding another tally in the 68th.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre took 10 of its 15 shots in the second half, but put only two on goal. BSC finished with 12 shots.
- Ryan Roussel and Sota Ippongi had three shots each for the Colonels.
- Haydon Korfhage and Jacob Camacho each saw time in goal.
