DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's soccer kicked off Homecoming weekend Friday evening, defeating rival Rhodes by a 3-0 score inside Andrew P. Amend Field.
The No. 14 Colonels move to 12-1-1 overall and are the last remaining undefeated team in the Southern Athletic Association, improving to 5-0. The Lynx fall to 8-2-1 overall with a 4-1 mark in-conference.
Rhodes entered the match on a five-game winning streak and had not been held scoreless all season.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre threated to score on a couple of instances in the early stages of the match, and in the 28th minute
Mills Mullen found the back of the net for the first goal of the game. After receiving a pass from
Bri Tilley, she fired the ball through the gloved hands of Rhodes' keeper.

Cameron Zak would double the lead late in the first half on a resilient effort after a Centre corner. She headed the corner pass off the crossbar, then gathered and headed the ball into the back of the net on the second try.
- Up 2-0 at the half, the Colonels added their third score early in the second period. Tilley crossed the ball in from the right side, where it deflected off a defender toward
Taylor Gebhart. The senior beat the keeper toward the far post to make it 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Gebhart's goal was her fourth of the season, while Mullen and Zak each converted their third goals.
- Centre finished with a wide margins in total shots (21-1), shots on goal (10-0) and corner kicks (9-1). Rhodes entered the match averaging 16.4 shots and nearly three goals per game.

Jonelle Barron played all 90 minutes in goal and a total of 23 Colonels saw time on the pitch.
