JACKSON, Miss. – Centre men's soccer handled business at Millsaps Friday evening, winning by a 3-1 margin at Harper Davis Field for their first Southern Athletic Association victory of the season.
The Colonels improved to 5-4-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the SAA, sending the host Majors to 2-7-1 overall and 0-3 in-conference.
Centre is now 27-8-1 all-time against Millsaps and has won seven in a row.

Sota Ippongi opened the scoring nearly 20 minutes into the contest, tallying his second goal in as many matches off an assist from
Max Gordinier. It marked Ippongi's team-leading fourth goal of the season.
- Later in the half, Centre capitalized on another corner kick opportunity as
Everett Hauser connected with
Michael Vogt. Vogt's set piece goal was his second score of the season.
- Millsaps pulled within a goal in the 82nd minute on a goal from Ruben Hamman.
- Centre put the game away in the 88th minute as
Nick Petrie slotted home a pass from Ippongi after making a run up the right wing.
