DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Centre women's basketball played its highest-ranked opponent since 2013 Monday, falling 94-38 against No. 4 Wisconsin-Whitewater to open the Daytona Beach Shootout.
The Colonels fall to 4-6 overall while the Warhawks remain unbeaten at 10-0.
Wisconsin-Whitewater shot above 50% (38-75) overall as a team while holding Centre to 30% (14-46). The Warhawks also forced the Colonels into a season-high 31 turnovers, resulting in a wide 40-2 advantage in points off turnovers.
Natalie Duggins led the Colonels with nine points, followed by
Bailey Rucker's eight.
