DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre softball fell to No. 12 Transylvania, 15-0, under rainy conditions Friday in the Colonels' home opener.
With the loss, Centre falls to 0-3 on the young season. The Pioneers begin the season 1-0.
Friday's second game was washed out due to the inclement weather.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The visitors totaled four hits in the opening inning, plating three runs all on two outs.
- Transylvania added seven more in the second on just two hits, capitalizing on a handful of walks to open a 10-0 advantage.
- The Pioneers added five more across the net three innings, ending the game in five. Kameron Bowling pitched all five frames for Transy, not allowing a single hit.
