LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's soccer returned to action after 451 days Monday evening, finally kicking off the modified spring campaign with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory during a scrimmage at Spalding.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Although the Colonels had the first couple of shots of the match, the home side opened the scoring with a conversion from Chadrack Mulondani in the 22nd minute.
- Centre totaled five shots across the first 45 minutes, but went into the halftime break still trailing by a 1-0 margin.
- Fortune favored the Colonels roughly 20 minutes into the second half, when the Golden Eagles suffered an own goal that leveled the score.

Nick Petrie found classmate
Sota Ippongi for the match-winning goal, marking the first collegiate points for both rookies.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre out-shot Spalding 11 to 3 and held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
