DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's lacrosse handled its business Wednesday evening, dropping Hanover by a 12-4 margin inside Farris Stadium
The Colonels (3-1) got a game-high seven points from sophomore
Will Hubbs, and as a program improved to 11-0 all-time against the Panthers (0-1).
HIGHLIGHTS

Drew Greenblatt began the rout with a goal just one minute into the contest, converting on the first shot attempted.

Jack Shannon recorded a goal just minutes later, followed quickly by Hubbs' first tally.
- Centre led 3-0 before Hanover even got a shot off, and carried a 4-0 advantage into the second quarter after
Chase Poplin found the back of the net.
- The Colonels continued to dominate possession, winning all 12 faceoffs throughout the first and second quarters.
- Greenblatt, Hubbs,
Nic Malubay and
Ridr Knowlton would each score again as the home side led 9-1 at the half.
- Shannon landed a left-handed goal just one minute into the third quarter, and Knowlton pushed the lead to 11-1 on his second score.
- Freshman
Ethan Hanna hit the back of the net for his first collegiate goal later in the period off a feed from
Ben Zickel, putting the Colonels in command, 12-1, with one quarter remaining.
- Hanover added a trio of goals in the fourth quarter, but a true comeback bid was not in the cards for the visitors.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Hubbs' seven points (three goals, four assists) led all players and marked a season high for the sophomore. Malubay followed with four total points, contributing three assists.
- Centre went a stellar 17 of 19 on faceoff attempts.
Alex Mozingo (7-for-7),
Jack Pharies (6-for-7),
Dylan Croft (3-for-3) and
Chole Butler (1-for-2) each contributed to that effort.
- Mozingo led Centre in ground balls with five and Malubay followed with four.
Ian Hubbs,
JR Brockman and
Nels Lund had three apiece. As a team, the Colonels overwhelmed the Panthers 39-10 on ground balls.
- The Colonels were able to get all their available reserves in the game. In goal,
Wills McCutcheon got the start, while
Chris Demaree,
DT Trowell and
Avi Leffler each saw time.
