ATLANTA – Centre men's soccer fell by a 1-0 margin at Oglethorpe Saturday afternoon.
The Colonels fall to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the Southern Athletic Association, while the Stormy Petrels move to 1-0-1 overall and 1-0 in-conference.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The two sides traded shots early on, with Centre's
Haydon Korfhage making a trio of saves in the opening stages.
- Oglethorpe was awarded a penalty kick in the 21st minute, which Fernando Guevara converted to make it 1-0.

Will Newton had a headed effort late in the first half, but the Stormy Petrel keeper was able to make the save.
- Shots were even at 5-5 throughout the second half, as Korfhage recorded four more stops to keep it a one-goal contest.
