DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's soccer dropped a 1-0 match Saturday against Birmingham-Southern at Andrew P. Amend Field.
The Colonels slide to 0-3 overall and within the Southern Athletic Association, while the Panthers improve to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in-conference.

Haydon Korfhage came up with an impressive save on a shot from Coleman Jennings in the 16th minute, but minutes later Jennings would find the back of the net to put the visitors ahead.

Will Newton nearly equalized in the 31st minute, but BSC's Jack Hunt was up to the task. Hunt stopped a shot from Connor Henry in the final minute of the first half, as well.
- The Colonels had chances throughout the second half, with early shots from Newton and JK Gonzalez being saved by the BSC keeper. Newton also sent a shot off the woodwork in the 63rd minute.
- Centre totaled nine shots and eight corner kicks throughout the second half, but Hunt and the Panther defense held firm to secure the win.

- Centre out-shot BSC 19-11, putting eight shots on goal. The Colonels also held a 13-3 advantage in corner opportunities.
- Korfhage had four saves for Centre.
